Day 14

Theme: Board Games

Holy crap, this was the most confusing board game I've ever played.
SO many rules and all of them were worded weirdly and had stupid grammar so they were hard to understand.
But it was fun to play.
Good family time ^.^

The game is called First Around the World by Reader's Digest

Day 13

Theme: Acting/Film

I went to a free Film 101 workshop today and boyyyy was it fun!
I got to play a victim in a horror film.
Even though this isn't a photo, I still thought it'd be worthy of my blog.
^.^

Day 12

Theme: Friendzzz

You know those Japanese photo booths that are everywhere?
I have such a mad collection of those little photos.
Ohhhh good times.

Day 11

Theme: Mail/Perfume

Strange combo, but it's late at night, I have no inspiration and I'm tired as all hell.
I entered a QUT competition a while back which I completely forgot about where you had to say in 50 words or less why you deserve a double pass to the movies.
I made up some poem and low-and-behold, I won.
Yipee.
I have to go to the post office tomorrow to pick it up since my brother was too lazy to get it from the postie himself.

There are two perfume bottles in the background if you can see them clearly.
One is a Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy which smells sooo lovely and a Ralph Lauren Rocks.
Both are different but smell great.

My photos have gotten progressively worse.
I'll see if I can take something a little more interesting tomorrow....

Day 10

Theme: Reading

This book is my latest obsession. No joke.
I wanna be friends with the kid in this book.
He seems nice for a sociopath anyway.
After reading this, I might get back into my omnibus Dexter book, signed by the one and only Jeff Lindsay.

I seriously need more reading material. I eat books for breakfast.

Day 9

Theme: Cooking/Vegetables

That's a close-up of a broccoli btw.
Mum made me cook dinner by myself tonight and I did pretty well.
But I also burnt a pot.... not good.

Day 8

Theme: Circus

I went into the city with Mum & Bro today to see Le Grand Cirque and omg it was amazing.
They had this clown man do little jokes and interact with the audience in-between acts. He was quite funny.
The final act, the Ring of Death was spectactular!
Two guys were in rings and they kept walking in them to make it turn.
Then 1 guy stood on the outside of the ring and kept walking, and then he juggled, skipped with a skipping rope in which he almost fell off and the other guy walked around the outside blind-folded.

Le Grand Cirque has reignited my fascination with all things circusy.

Unfortunately, photography wasn't allowed during the event, so I took a quick photo of the background before the show started.

Day 7

Theme: Sleep

This is Pooh.
He is cute.
He is sleeping.
I am tired.
The end.

Day 6

Theme: Mess

Somehow my room has gotten messy again by itself.
That's a picture of my desk. It's huge and it can sure hold a lot of crap. I don't even have enough room in my shelves for more books.
I've been in a bit of a cleaning mood lately.
I think tomorrow I'll clean up the lounge room and vacuum my room. God knows how many dust bunnies have made a burrow under my bed.

Day 5

Theme: Movies

I went to see Sherlock Holmes with my friends tonight.
Surprisingly, it wasn't as funny as I thought it would be. But Robert Downey Jr was fanatstic as Holmes, I might even go see the sequel.
Sorry for the crappy quality of the photo. I didn't want to put on flash just in case I got in trouble for having a camera in the cinema. Copyright and all that jazz.
Btw, that's not me in the photo, 'tis 2 of my friends.

Day 4

Theme: Organisation/Communication

Pretty blah photo but it's all I could think of.
Lately I've been having to organise so many things, like my room, movie & dinner night, dreamworld, school things. Plus I've been talking to my relatives non-stop about Christmas and New Years.
It's been fairly hectic but thank goodness for the calendar on my phone.

Sunday, January 3, 2010

Day 3

Theme: Rain

A weeping plant. How sad.
It's been raining all day, it's been overcast all day and I've been so bored and cranky and tired all day.
All in all, not good.
Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Day 2

Here it is.
Theme: Sewing

One of my NY Resolutions: learn how to sew.
Mum found these old sewing books from the 90's and they look pretty interesting. Though knowing me, I'll probably last a few hours, maybe a day at most trying to learn how to sew.
I was fairly proud of myself in Grade 8 when I made a pair of shorts. But unfortunately, I made the elastic too tight so I never wear them.
Hopefully I can make something that I'll actually use.

Day 1

Welcome to Mel's Project 365.
A photo diary of a year in the life of Mel.

Theme: Party/New Years Eve

O-m-g. Dancing and jumping up and down for 2 hours sure can make your legs hurt. Majorly.
I'm the one on the left. hahaha good luck trying to see my face :D
All in all, that was a great night/morning.
Ended up staying awake until 10:30am on Jan 1, then I crashed.
